Khajuraho Tour with Taj Mahal in Agra, India

Tour Summary

Day 01 :-Delhi - Arrival - India Gate & Parliament House

Pick up from Delhi Airport/Railway Station. Check in to the hotel. Later, visit New Delhi Local Sightseeing like India Gate also called War Memorial of India and drive past President’s House and other Parliamentary House . If have time and interest, visit famous Shopper’s paradise Chandni Chowk . Later, return to hotel. Have dinner and night stay in hotel.

Day 02 :-Delhi -Local Sightseeing- Old Delhi (Red Fort, Jama Masjid) -New Delhi (Qutub Minar, India Gate)

After breakfast, drive to Old Delhi . Explore Old Delhi Local Sightseeing like Red Fort built by Shah Jahan , Biggest Mosque of India-Jama Masjid , and Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Raj Ghat (Cremation Ground of Mahatma Gandhi). After lunch, visit other Local Sightseeing of Delhi like Humayun's Tomb and Qutab Minar .

Later, drive to Agra , check in to the hotel. Have dinner and night stay in Agra.

Day 03 :-Agra - Wonder of World Taj Mahal + UNESCO Site Agra Fort – Gwalior (130 KM, 3 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Local Sightseeing places in Agra . Visit the Wonder of World Taj Mahal built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1630 to enshrine the mortal remains of his Queen Mumtaz Mahal. (Taj Mahal is closed on all Fridays). Later, visit UNESCO World Heritage Site Agra Fort dominated by red sand stone.

Later, drive to Gwalior . Have dinner and nightstay in Gwalior.

Day 04 :-Gwalior –Local Sightseeing – Jai Vilas Palace – Man Mandir - Orchha (150 Km -3 Hrs)

After Breakfast, visit Gwalior Sightseeing like Jai Vilas Palace , Usha Kiran Palace , Gwalior Fort , Man Mandir , Gujri Mahal and Tomb of Mohammad Ghaus .

After this eventful day you will embark on another journey to Orchha- Capital City of Bundela Rulers .

Later, drive to Orchha. Check-in at the hotel. Have dinner and stay overnight at hotel in Orchha.

Day 05 :-Orchha- Local Sightseeing- Raja Mahal – Orchha Fort -Khajuraho (225 Km -05 Hrs)

After breakfast in Orchha, proceed for a Sightseeing Tour of Orchha . Visit opulent Jahangir Mahal followed by Orchha Fort and other examples of erstwhile opulence such as Raja Mahal and the Laxmi Narayan Temple well known for exquisite frescoes and mural paintings.

After lunch, drive to Khajuraho . Check in hotel in Khajuraho. Visit Khajuraho Group of Monuments to enjoy Light & Sound Show in voice of legendry Bollywood star Amitabh Bachhan. Return to hotel in Khajuraho for dinner and nightstay.

Day 06 :-Khajuraho- Eastern & Western Group of Temples –Drop to Khajuraho Airport/Railway Station

After breakfast drive to visit Local sightseeing of Khajuraho . Explore Western Group of Temples at Khajuraho like Chaunsath Yogini Temple , Varaha Mandap , Lakshmana Temple , Kandariya Mahadev Temple , Devi Jagdambi Temple , Chitragupta Temple and Vishwanatha Temple .

Later, visit Eastern Group of Temples like Bramha Temple, Vamana Temple and Javari Temple. From western group of Temples a kilometer towards the east is the Khajursagar and the old village of Khajuraho.

Later, visit Jain Temples at Khajuraho like Parshvanath Temple, Adinath Temple and Ghantai Temple. You will also visit South Eastern Group of Temples . Return to hotel for dinner and night stay.

After lunch, drop to Khajuraho Airport/Railway Station to catch flight for Delhi for onward destination.
